The day before the date Mariano wrote to me a message: "Get ready Cosé, we are going to take photos of the engagement on a downhill track". Downhill? You mean that kind of downhill?? With bicycles, rocks and trees... broken bones and broken cameras?! You are two fools... ok, I'm in! I show up myself to the date the next day in combat clothes, I am very excited and ready for anything. I see their car coming, Carolina greets me from inside... something doesn't add up but I don't understand what. Carolina and Mariano - beautiful and sunny as I remembered them - get out of the car.
They come closer, wrapped in very soft linen dresses - a perfect casual chic dress code - and greet me. They are in love and smiling. "I'm delighted to see you guys! But sorry... do you go downhill dressed like that?". There was a change of plans at the last minute, we are going to Assisi. Carolina loves Assisi, she will be very happy and excited - says Mariano in a low voice - it is a surprise for her. Well, also for me. I look at myself, then I look at them: "I said so, you are two fools". Big laughs and then we go!

I have to thank Carolina and Mariano, however, it was an adventure - beautiful and unexpected. Assisi is always wonderful, it is famous and often crowded but still inspires recollection. You get lost in its views and find yourself in its hidden alleys, finding space for emotions and intimacy in its hidden corners. It was such a lovely day, such a lovely place for an engagement session.

P.S. For the more attentive to the dress code, luckily I also had a more casual pair of trousers with me. You know, to change my clothes in case we got dirty doing downhill. The counter-terrorism officers didn't notice me that much!
